During Miss Scarlet season 5, Patrick Nash decided to get out of London. The way to do that was to jump on a ship to Australia, and that’s where we believed he was during season 6. Well, it turns out that he’s not there after all!
Moses Valentine returned during Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 3, and he quickly revealed that Nash had sent him. At the same time, he shared that Nash wasn’t in Australia as many people expected. This is a man who has decided to travel the world in search for the next way to make money. And who can blame him?

Where did Patrick Nash go after leaving Miss Scarlet?
Moses shared that Nash went to Madagascar. After that, he traveled to Hong Kong and then Singapore. For a while, he remained in Singapore, where he set up a casino. How did Moses learn all this? Nash would send him postcards from time to time.
As many will remember, Moses left for Paris to set up the French firm for Nash. However, he didn’t stay under Nash’s employ, and he ended up setting up his own firm in Paris. That doesn’t mean that the two men aren’t friends, and Nash regularly sent postcards (without a name, of course) so that Moses would know where he is.
After Singapore, things went quiet. That was until he got a telegram from Venezuela of all places.

Why is Patrick Nash in Venezuela on Miss Scarlet?
Moses explained that Venezuela is a brilliant place for mining diamonds, and it seems like Nash has figured that out. He’s not the only one to get a telegram, either. Clarence also got a telegram from Nash, and the two had to work together with a woman called Florence to sell a large diamond.
Of course, plenty of people were after that diamond, and it led to danger for everyone, including Clarence ending up with a body in his lodgings! He’s not in trouble, as he knows the right inspector to clear his name.
As for Nash, he didn’t quite trust everyone to get the diamond to the right jeweler. Not only did he and Florence have one fake diamond created, but he also had another commissioned. Florence had the two fakes, and Nash decided to get the real one to a particular person he trusts: Eliza Scarlet.
That was why Eliza was in Southampton. She agreed to meet with Nash and picked up the diamond. She will sell it for Nash, so it ended up with a happy ending for everyone.
What we don’t know is where Nash is heading off to next. He is a man of intrigue, and he’s sure to get a mention again in the future.
Miss Scarlet airs on Sundays at 8/7c on PBS.
