Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The foreshadowing in this chapter is at the very end. There are plenty of reasons why Ian and Rachel can’t be together, but they love each other. Rachel is looking after Rollo for Ian, and part of it is because of her feelings for him. She knows she’ll be kicked out of the Quaker community, but she seems at peace with that decision because of her love for Ian. It’s clear that Ian, Rachel, and Rollo will be reunited at some point.

This chapter is also full of plot development. Before getting in with the rebels, Claire, Jamie, and Ian were heading to Scotland. That seems to have been forgotten about, but they need to get back on that journey.  This is the way that will happen.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

If we see everything going on at the camp, we’ll likely see this chapter. We need a reason for Claire, Jamie, and Ian to leave. We need to see what happens to Rollo.

And I’m sure this chapter will all play out. After all, what we’ve seen from leaked photos, Rollo isn’t with Ian. That suggests he stays with Rachel after being injured. Having Rollo stay with Rachel gives Ian a reason to head back to the Colonies. He has a reason to see Rachel again, moving their story further forward.

So, I do think we’ll see this chapter happen. Plus, who doesn’t want to see Rollo stand up for Ian?
