Starfury Highlanders 5 faces two Outlander guest cancellations
Two Outlander actors are no longer able to make to the Starfury Highlanders 5 convention in July. Here are all the details you need right now.
It’s always exciting to meet some of the Outlander stars at conventions. Highlanders 5 is coming at the start of July, and fans will be excited by the guest list. The convention has Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, and more attending.
There is some bad news, though. Two of the confirmed guests are no longer able to make it due to scheduling conflicts. This happens a lot with conventions and it’s all about the way the contracts for conventions are written. Filming work will always come before conventions.
Which Outlander actors won’t attend Highlanders 5?
Steven Cree and Mark Lewis Jones have had to cancel their appearances at the British convention on July 1 to 3. This is for all three days, although Cree says that there is hope they’ll be able to make a Zoom Q&A work for Saturday.
Both of the actors have scheduling conflicts. Cree is currently filming in Barcelona, Spain, and he can’t make his schedule work for the UK convention. We know Mark Lewis Jones has been involved in Outlander Season 7, but is there another production he’s now involved with? After all, Heughan, Rankin, and Skelton are all still attending.
If you got any photo ops for Jones and Cree, you can swap them for any of the other Outlander guests. There are still some excellent cast members attending. Those who don’t swap by Wednesday, June 29 will get a refund for their photo ops and other items they’ve purchased purely for these actors.
There are no refunds for the general tickets. The event is still going ahead.
Starfury Highlanders 5 takes place from July 1 to 3.
