Outlander Season 5 is heading to Netflix very soon. The May date has been confirmed, and it’s exactly when we thought it would be.
If there’s one thing Outlander fans across the United States have been asking, it’s when Season 5 will head to Netflix. After all, Season 6 is almost done on STARZ. Two seasons currently remain exclusive to the streaming platform.
We had expected a May date for Outlander Season 5. Netflix has now confirmed when the full season will arrive, and it’s exactly when we thought it would be. It certainly sets the tone for when Outlander Season 6 will head to Netflix in the United States.
Outlander Season 5 release date on Netflix
According to the May releases from Netflix, Outlander Season 5 will be available to stream in full on May 10.
This is exactly two years from the date the Season 5 finale aired on STARZ. It matches the releases of both Season 3 and Season 4 on Netflix, so we did expect it. This also suggests that Outlander Season 6 will arrive on Netflix in May 2024. It’s a long wait, but this is necessary to ensure there’s at least one season exclusive on STARZ considering how long Droughtlander can be.

What is Outlander Season 5 about?
There are some people out there who only watch the series on Netflix. They’re waiting for the current seasons to finally make it to the streaming platform, so we’re not going to share too many details in this post about the fifth season.
It does follow The Fiery Cross for the most part. The Frasers and MacKenzies are now living at the Ridge, and it’s time to see that community grow. However, it’s not easy when there is an uprising threatening to happen. Jamie will need to walk between two fires as he does the best for his family and tenants while avoiding having to face his godfather on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Bree and Roger need to figure out how to live together in harmony. That’s not too easy when Stephen Bonnet remains a threat to them, and to Jemmy.
