When will Outlander Season 6 come to Netflix?
Outlander Season 6 premieres on STARZ on March 6, 2022. Of course, there are already questions about when the season will come to Netflix.
Just a quick disclaimer. This post is about Netflix U.S. Outlander Season 6 will come to Netflix in multiple countries this month. That’s just due to the way the series has been able to distribute outside of the U.S.
There are some countries that will get the full season in 2023 and maybe even sooner. However, that’s not the case for the United States viewers.
Outlander is a STARZ Original. There’s no way STARZ will want its original content to be available on Netflix without something being exclusive to STARZ. It encourages too many people to unsubscribe from STARZ and only have Netflix, which just doesn’t make business sense. However, the season is likely eventually to head to Netflix.
Outlander Season 6 on Netflix release date predictions
We’re looking at a long wait for this season to head to Netflix. Just look at how long we’ve waited for Season 5 to get to Netflix. The fifth season still isn’t there, and we’re looking at May 2022 as the release date.
This will help us figure out when we can expect the sixth season to arrive on Netflix U.S. The seasons drop two years after the finales air on STARZ. We’re looking at April 24 or May 1 depending on whether STARZ takes a week off mid-season or not.
With that in mind, the drop on Netflix is going to be around April 24 or May 1…2024. Yes, 2024! That’s not a wait we’re looking forward to.
Keep in mind that this only applies if STARZ and Netflix keep the current deal. It’s not clear when the contract is up for renewal, which could affect things. Jeremy Hirsch, the CEO of STARZ, isn’t happy about the deal but it has been great for shareholders, so it will probably stick around.
