Outlander Season 6, Episode 6 brought us an episode full of emotion. It also brought an episode full of questions, especially with just two episodes left of the season.

There was certainly a lot going on in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6. It all started with sickness threatening lives on the Ridge, a sickness that it looked like Claire had picked up. However, it was soon clear that Claire didn’t have the same sickness, which brings up one of the big questions for the episode.

After all that was said and done, there was more trouble for Claire and Jamie. Malva’s lies threaten everything for the couple, and it’s made worse with Malva’s murder at the very end. Can the Frasers weather this storm?

We have some hope, but things are likely to get worse before they get better. Here are the big questions we do have going into the last two episodes of Outlander Season 6.

5 biggest questions from Outlander Season 6, Episode 6

1. What made Claire and Tom sick?

We have to start with the sickness. Claire makes it clear that she didn’t have dysentery. Neither did Tom. The two had the same type of sickness, although Claire wanted to confirm that with a stool sample. Of course, Tom refused to provide it.

It begs the question what caused that sickness. This wasn’t a coincidence. Someone wanted to get Claire and Tom out of the way, but why?

2. Why would Malva and Mrs. Bug cut Claire’s hair?

To help deal with the fever, Malva and Mrs. Bug cut Claire’s hair short. It’s easy to see why someone in the 18th century would consider this helpful. Mrs. Bug likely thought she was doing the right thing.

Did Malva do it to save Claire? It’s clear that Malva wants Jamie. Is it possible that she decided to cut Claire’s hair to make Claire undesirable so Jamie would choose Malva instead? I wouldn’t put it past this scheming young lady.

3. Who is the father of Malva’s baby?

We know that Jamie didn’t have an affair. What we don’t yet know is who the father was. Young Ian shares that he laid with Malva once, so he could have been the father. We also know that she was with Obediah Henderson.

There could have been other men. So, who is the real father? That has to eventually come up, right?

4. Why wouldn’t Roger tell the Ridge about Malva’s activities?

Speaking of knowing that Malva was with Obediah, why wouldn’t this come up. Roger had told Claire and Jamie, but he’d decided not to tell the people of the Ridge. Why wouldn’t he do this to stop the rumors?

This comes down to the type of person Roger is. He wouldn’t want to ruin a young girl’s name. At the same time, Malva threatened him with sharing lies about him and Amy. Seeing what she did to Jamie, what’s to say that she wouldn’t go through with her threats? Then there’s the question of whether people of the Ridge would even believe Roger.

5. Who killed Malva?

Finally, we need to look at Malva’s murder. It’s clear she was murdered when you consider the slashed throat. Who did it?

This was likely the baby daddy. So, we need to figure out who that is to be able to get to the bottom of the murder. Before that can happen, we’ll likely see Claire blamed for everything that’s happened.
