Looking back at Jamie’s top moments from Outlander Season 1, Episode 2

While Claire figured out the time she was in, we learned a little more about Jamie’s backstory on Outlander Season 1, Episode 2. We also got a good look at his character.

With the story told from Claire’s point of view, we only got to learn as much as Jamie was willing to share with Claire. However, with the use of flashbacks, we did get a good look at the type of man he is. It certainly matched up with everything we’d seen up to this point.

Which were his five best Jamie moments from Outlander Season 1, Episode 2? That’s what we’re looking into now.

Jamie’s discomfort but trust

Jamie doesn’t want Claire to tend to his wounds at first. To him, they’re not a big deal. However, Claire is going to get her own way, which leads to Claire seeing the scars on his back. He immediately tenses up, but he doesn’t look all that embarrassed.

Instead, Jamie just tells her why the scars are there; what happened to get them. We see this sense of trust in Claire right away, knowing that she’s not going to judge but will help him heal. While everyone else distrusts her, he sees her for who she really is.

He later trusts her by telling her that Colum and Dougal are his uncles. That’s a huge risk to take, but it shows that he really sees her.
