10. Episode 7: So focused on the warning about Alamance

I know that there are some comments on how cold Bree was toward Jamie when she rode out to Alamance, but I didn’t see it as cold. I saw it as focused. She had one thing on her mind and she was determined to pass on the message.

Bree’s personality is an excellent mixture of both Claire’s and Jamie’s personalities. We get her stubbornness but also her drive. She’s not there for small talk and there isn’t much time for it anyway. She needs to make sure she saves as many people as possible without ruining the chances of the Revolutionary War.

9. Episode 1: Always being her Da’s little girl

While she didn’t show much love for Jamie at Alamance, she did have a lot of love for him just before her wedding. There was this adorable moment as Jamie brought her something old, new, borrowed, and blue, clearly taking an interest in the wedding traditions of her own time.

Of course, there were some regrets felt in this scene. Jamie wished he could have been part of Bree’s life when she was a child. Now he’s seeing her all grown up.

Part of Bree clearly wishes she’d been with Jamie as a child. While she loves Frank, there is still an element of regret. And she understands Jamie’s wishes. So, she makes it clear that he’s always going to be her Da.
