Outlander Season 4

The fourth season was similar to the second season in terms of the first half being worse than the second half. Personally, I am connected to Brianna and Roger more than Claire and Jamie. I have been with the books and I am with the show.

The first two episodes of the season are my least favorite of the lot. My favorite episodes involve the focus on Bree and Roger, as they learn about life in the past, deal with troubles that come their way, and simply just try to survive.

Overall, the season is slowly paced. Some of the episodes didn’t quite fit the storytelling, but at least the episodes didn’t feel like a drag some of the second season does.

Outlander Season 3

I’ll admit that one of my least favorite things about the third season is not having enough time to tell Claire and Jamie’s time separated for 20 years. I wanted to see more of Claire going through med school and wanted to know Joe better. I wanted to see more of what Jamie did during the 20 years and life at Helwater.

Of course, the show couldn’t keep the two separated for too long. Many fans couldn’t even cope with five episodes of them apart! But there was just so much story left on the cutting room floor.

I enjoyed the storylines on the high seas for the most part. Seeing Geillis and Lord John Grey return towards the end of the season were definitely highlights.
