More Lord John Grey books are in the pipeline for Outlander fans

Outlander fans who love the Lord John Grey books can rejoice. Diana Gabaldon has confirmed that more are in the pipeline.

Right now, the creator of this magnificent universe is working on the ninth book in the series. Okay, she’s actually recovering from a broken shoulder (we’re hoping it’s healing well!) but the ninth book in the main series is still in the works. Hopefully, it will be finished by the end of the year but there’s no confirmation just yet.

That being said, there are questions about subsequent books. Fans know that there’s a 10th book in the main series still to come. There’s also an Ellen and Brian Fraser prequel book in the works. Many fans want to know about the Lord John Grey books.

Fans have come to love and respect the character more due to the novellas. We’ve had a chance to get to know him in more detail, which certainly makes reading more of his passages in the main book series enjoyable. So, will there be more?

That’s a question a fan put to Diana Gabaldon on Twitter, and she wasted no time in replying. There’s definitely more in the pipeline.

Of course, there were no details. We have no idea when these Lord John Grey books could be set or even how many there will be. But it’s always awesome to know that we’ll get more side stories focused on some of the favorite non-main characters.

This could hopefully offer more material to encourage a Lord John Grey spin-off. With David Berry apparently no longer needed for the main series, it opens him up for STARZ to bring us an Outlander spin-off. What do you think?
