Brianna and Roger had a big decision to make during Outlander Season 5, Episode 11. After their decision, what did they see at the very end of the episode?

Brianna and Roger had to make a decision during Outlander Season 5, Episode 11. Would they remain in the past or go back to their own time? After they made their decision, they saw something at the very end of the episode. What exactly was it?

Maybe we should ask where did Bree and Roger go? I know it’s a question many fans are asking after the episode. After all, this episode saw the MacKenzies go through the stones but it doesn’t look like they ended up where they intended.

They wanted to go back to the 70s. This is their time period, the one they arguably belong in. And it’s most definitely safer for them. However, when they came to after the stones, Jemmy ran off to someone with a smile on his face. Bree and Roger had a look of confusion.

There are a few theories circulating around. It is possible they ended up in a different time period. Could they have gone further back in the past accidentally? Maybe they went to the future but a different point in the future? While these two are plausible, they don’t explain Jemmy’s look of glee—although it’s hard to tell if this was a character moment or an actor moment.

Did they even travel?

One of the biggest theories for the end of Outlander Season 5, Episode 11 is that the family didn’t go anywhere. The stones take them to where their heart desires, and Bree and Roger would have likely been thinking something like “home.” Of course, their home is now on Fraser’s Ridge. Is there anything to hold them in the future?

We’ve also got to remember that Jemmy is more powerful since he is born of two travelers. Does that mean he was able to steer them to where his heart desired? And all Jemmy knows is his own time; his grandparents, Uncle Fergus and Auntie Marsali, and life on the Ridge.

It seems to make more sense that they stayed in one place.

But Young Ian saw them leave!

I know the big flaw to this is that Young Ian saw the three of them disappear through the stones. So, if they stayed in one place, he should have seen them on the ground.

This can be explained by Bree and Roger traveling a couple of minutes ahead. Is it possible that Jemmy sees Young Ian in the cart? Maybe he is riding away, and that’s something Bree and Roger see.

We’ll have to wait for the Outlander Season 5 finale to find out. That’s if the episode even covers this storyline, as a lot of the focus is going to be on saving Claire. So, it’s possible that we won’t find out now until Season 6, which is really going to be annoying!

One of the fun things, though, is even book readers can’t answer this question with certainty. It’s a storyline adapted from the books with a different ending.
