5 best moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 11
2. Young Ian wanting to travel
Poor Young Ian. It’s clear that there is much to this story. We will probably get more of this story during Outlander Season 6, but it’s hard not to feel for him already. This is a man who just wants to fix whatever is wrong.
He begs Claire and Bree to let him travel too. He wants to go through those stones, find a way to cheat the time-traveling rules. However, he angrily accepts that it’s not going to happen.
One thing I loved was Young Ian being trusted with the news. It was time he learned about time travel and he took it so well, just like Jamie and Murtagh.
1. Lizzie and Brianna’s goodbye
If there’s one moment that would cause most people to tear up, it was Brianna and Lizzie’s goodbye. Lizzie was ready to leave for Boston with her mistress. After all, she’s an indentured servant, although I get the sense that Brianna would have brought an end to that as soon as she could and Lizzie stay out of love and gratitude.
Lizzie was understandably heartbroken to find out she wouldn’t be going. It’s not like Bree could tell Lizzie the full truth, either. So we got this painful goodbye, as Lizzie found out she would have to remain at the Ridge.
