4. Ulysses explaining his freedom

During the episode, we picked up with a storyline from Episode 10. Ulysses was hiding out with Claire and Jamie after killing Forbes. However, he also explained that he’s a free man.

Something I adored about this episode was Ulysses explaining that he chose to stay for Jocasta. While we don’t get the full story from the novels (there just wasn’t the time for that), we did get to see the love that Ulysses has for his mistress. Jocasta never expected him to stay, which would have made her all the more grateful for him. It’s no wonder there was such a trust between them.

I certainly love that Ulysses agrees to pretend to be Lord John Grey’s manservant to get out of danger. I wonder if we’ll find out that Ulysses remains with LJG as a view of repayment for his life.

3. Jamie telling Bree about Willie

I adored that Jamie told Bree the truth about Willie. It was about time, and I wish that he could have told her sooner. However, he may have worried that word would have got to Willie in someway; not that the two siblings had ever met.

However, this moment was beautiful as it allowed father and daughter to become close. It’s something that’s been missing from Outlander Season 5, especially towards the end of the season.

I know this was one of my Jamie moments, but it’s a best moment as it involves Bree too. Plus, it leads to the conversation between Lord John Grey and Bree.
