Claire returned to the job that we’ve seen her do multiple times before. She treated the fallen soldiers from the battlefield, while the war around her raged on. Here are the best three Claire moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 7.

This wasn’t easy to break down. There were some excellent moments from start to finish, from the sexy moment at the start to the devastating moments at the end. These three moments stand out for the character and not necessarily for the overall storyline.

3. Her reaction to the uniform

When Claire saw Jamie in the redcoat uniform, you could see her visibly recoil. She was shocked, but she also understood how her husband was feeling in this moment. There was no way that Jamie would have done this out of choice, meaning that he’d been pretty much given an ultimatum.

However, that didn’t stop the shock. It didn’t stop her hating every minute of the situation, but she was there for Jamie in this. She showed him the support he needed instead of arguing anything.

2. Figuring out what really happen to Isaiah Morton

When Isaiah was brought into the tent, Claire got to work to help save his life. However, it was soon clear that this wasn’t a shot from the enemy. She realized that one of the Browns had shot him.

Of course, she didn’t say this outright. She just made it clear that she knew what the powder on the back meant. Isaiah was shot in the back from close range. Someone wanted to kill him and had failed. There were two specific people who wanted him dead.

1. Keeping the piece of tartan

Claire couldn’t save Murtagh. As much as she wanted to, he was already dead when Jamie got Murtagh to Claire. When Jamie left, we saw Claire break down, cry for a man she cared deeply for.

The best Claire moment from Outlander Season 5, Episode 7 was taking the tartan. This was important to Murtagh, going back to post-Culloden when the tartan was outlawed in Scotland. It meant the world to the Fraser clan, and Claire knows that Jamie would likely want this to remember his godfather. It was bittersweetly beautiful.
