3 best Brianna moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 6
I have a love-hate relationship with the writers when it comes to Brianna, but she had some good moments on Outlander Season 5, Episode 6.
Everyone who has followed this website since the Outlander Season 5 promotion will know that I was worried about how Brianna would be handled. The writers just don’t seem to know how to deal with her situation or how to grow her character. Now that she’s had a baby, she a mom, and there doesn’t seem to be anything else for her.
However, I always try to find something positive. I want to be optimistic and I hope that the second half of the season is going to give Brianna something more to do for herself instead of her being support for others.
That being said, there were some good Bree moments on Outlander Season 5, Episode 6. Here were my three favorites.
3. Taking the initiative to spread the smoke
When Roger couldn’t figure out how to get the smoke to spread across the fields, it was Brianna who took control. Now, I will admit that I expected her to set up some sort of contraption. I’ve been waiting for our engineer to show up, but that didn’t happen.
While I was a little disappointed that she was just wafting sheets, I was still proud of her for stepping up when needed. She was the one to find an option to spread the smoke. can we have Engineer Brianna show up, though, please?
2. Standing by Roger when finding a way to deal with the locusts
While everyone else was calling on Roger to come up with an idea, it would have been easy to knock down his crazy idea. At first, Brianna even wondered whether he was serious about the smoke stopping the locusts.
She did question him, but that was understandable. She wanted to make sure he was sure that it could work. Once he was certain, she stood by him. At no point was she going to show him up to anyone else. This was the point Roger needed his wife by his side and Bree was right there.
1. Calling Roger out on not going to the wedding
Brianna made it clear that Roger could have gone to the wedding. She didn’t need him to help with Jemmy’s cold. Of course, she knew that Roger wasn’t just staying to help with Jemmy; it was just a convenient excuse.
Instead, she called him out. Jocasta offended him at their wedding so he was going to offend her. And it doesn’t seem like she didn’t like that he’d done that. After all, she has dealt with Jocasta in the past and knows what she can be like. It doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of love lost.
