25 best Claire and Jamie moments: Making up in the stables
Claire and Jamie didn’t see eye to eye on Outlander Season 5, Episode 6, but it did lead to making up in the stables. It’s now on the list of best moments.
Regardless of some of the hate against the scene, the chance for Claire and Jamie making up in the stables on Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 was what some of us needed. I always find these types of scenes awkward anyway, so the dialogue didn’t bother me. I believe it belongs on the list of 25 best Claire and Jamie moments on the series so far.
I’ll leave you with the list of best moments first. You can see where this moment lands and the 24 other great moments on Outlander over the seasons.
Outlander Season 5 hasn’t seen tension between Claire and Jamie until this episode. There’s been no need for them to be upset with each other. Instead, the tension has come from outside sources. It’s often meant no time for the passionate make-up sex.
That changed in “Better to Marry Than Burn.” The couple didn’t see eye-to-eye on a particular situation. Jamie, wanting revenge against Bonnet, decided it was time to play a game of cards against Phillip Wylie. However, it meant needing something more valuable than his own coin. He needed Claire’s gold ring.
He was sure he would win it back, but Claire wasn’t. Because of the request, she handed him both her wedding rings. And with that, he went off to play and win the cards.
Of course, Claire wasn’t happy with the entire situation, and I can’t blame her. Yet, when he won, the passion finally took over and they both had a moment together. Yes, it was awkward, but again, I always find these scenes awkward. Even from the first season, I’ve found them awkward. But that doesn’t mean the passion wasn’t there.
This was a necessary moment. After the last few seasons of few moments together, we got some of the same intensity of the first two seasons.
