There have been some excellent Claire and Jamie moments on Outlander Season 5 so far. Not all of them will make the list of best moments throughout the series so far, but one from Episode 4 certainly belongs on the list. It’s all about the talk under the moonlight.

The moment under the moonlight stands out for many reasons, one of those being a chance for Jamie and Claire to have an important conversation. Jamie notices how Claire looks at the baby and wants to offer her the chance to raise the Beardsley child. Together, they know they will love the child.
However, we get to see Claire be honest with her husband. She is happy with their life the way it is right now. Sure, they’re in the middle of building a militia, but when it comes to their children and their grandchildren, they have it all. They may not be raising Jemmy, but they play an important role in his upbringing. The same applies to Marsali and Fergus’s children.
It’s an important moment to see where the two are in their relationship. We see the love and the honesty. We see the willingness to adopt a child for each other, but their happiness in themselves; their life at this point.
