During Outlander Season 5, Episode 2, Jamie and Knox went on the road to start taming the Regulator threat. Instead, they got to Hillsborough to learn the Regulators were far more dangerous than expected. Here are my three favorite Jamie moments from throughout the episode.

It’s hard for Jamie. Not only is he up against Murtagh when he wants to keep his own land, but he also needs to go up against men he can relate to. He knows what it’s like to have everything taken away, and understands their frustrations. However, there are lines that even Jamie wouldn’t cross, and they come up during the episode.

3. Trying to get on with Knox

Being caught between a rock and a hard place, Jamie is trying to make the best of the situation. That means attempting to get along with Hamilton Knox. In all honesty, Knox isn’t a bad man. You can see he’s just eager to do his job well and doesn’t understand what everything means to Jamie.

Knowing that Knox is likely a good man deep down. Jamie just tries to get on with him. There are various moments, but one that stands out is the conversation when they’re getting ready to leave. Knox commends Jamie on being a good leader, and Jamie offers to include Knox in his next dispatches to Tryon.
