Outlander Season 5 promo: Brianna is ready to protect her family

STARZ has brought a 30-second tease to promote Brianna’s story in Outlander Season 5. Are you ready for her storyline to come? We certainly are!

Brianna is standing for destiny in Outlander Season 5, and the latest 30-second tease of her storyline suggests some of that. She’s also standing for family and for history.

While the initial 10-second clip earlier this week was disappointing, this 30-second tease offers a little more of the exciting storyline to come. We get a look back at the journey that Bree has been on up to that point, including her search for her parents in the past. Then it moves onto her life moving forward, that fight to protect history and her family.

The downside to the clip is that we’ve mostly seen the footage already. There’s nothing really new from the trailers, which Roger’s mini teaser offered. Her line at the end about her and Roger’s family being in the past has been used in both the Season 5 teaser and the official trailer.

However, it sets the stage for destiny. We also get the line about the spark of the American Revolution. While it was a line used in the official trailer, it connects to the fact that there is danger in the 18th century; danger that Brianna wouldn’t face if she went back to her own time.

Brianna goes through a big storyline for Outlander Season 5. This isn’t just a chance for her to deal with the upcoming war, but also internally as she deals with the knowledge that Stephen Bonnet isn’t dead. There’s the risk of Bonnet coming for who he believes is his child and for Brianna and Roger to find a way forward together, to create that united front.

The promo tease doesn’t offer any insight into that, but it does give us that stand for history and destiny.
