Outlander Season 5: Will we see Brianna’s engineering skills?

Brianna is an excellent engineer in The Fiery Cross. Will we get to see some of those skills throughout Outlander Season 5?

Brianna receives a lot of excellent character development throughout “The Fiery Cross.” Part of that is seeing her in action when it comes to being an engineer. It’s something even her mother gets to see for the first time. Will this be something that Outlander Season 5 includes?

I hope it is. We’ve already had a quick glance of Bree’s skills. She helped to fix Laoghaire’s cupboard, which is something only a man would have done during the time period. Yet, this is it. So far, we’ve seen nothing else.

The promotional material hasn’t offered a lot of insight into Bree’s development when it comes to her engineering skills. We’ve seen that she goes hunting with Roger, helping him learn how to shoot, and we see her being a mother. The latest promotional material has made it clear that being a fierce mom is a high priority.

And that has me worried about the rest of her development. There’s so much more to Brianna than being a mom.

I’m certainly not saying being a mom is anything to scoff at. I am a mom, but that doesn’t define who I am. It defines a part of my life, but there is so much more to me and to all women. We’ve seen her be protective, want the best for her baby, but now it’s time to see more.

There is some hope thanks to the sneak peek released last year. It may have been Jamie and Roger, but it included a line about Brianna drawing up plans to add an attic to the cabin. It shows that Brianna is certainly going to tap into her engineering skills in some way. The question is how often that will be throughout Season 5.
