Sasnak City 2020: Tips to decide on the ticket package for you

Looking forward to Sasnak City 2020? Tickets will be available for purchase at the end of the month, but how do you decide on the package to get?

Sasnak City 2020 will be here before you know it. It’s an excellent event to see Outlander stars and get to know more fans of the TV series and books. Tickets for The Gathering will be available at the end of the month, but how do you know which package to opt for?

There are five different tiers to get. The cheapest is the Carolina Territory package, which offers access to all four days of the event and some select bonuses. The most expensive is the Fraser’s Ridge package, which offers access to all four days, extra bonuses, and lunch with select guests.

At first, you’ll look at the packages based on price. You want to find something in your price range, and the ability to get payment plans may help to make the tickets more affordable to you. That’s especially the case for the $3,150 Fraser’s Ridge ticket. But where do you go from there?

Which events are you most interested?

The way I look at it is which events I’m most interested in attending. For some, the lunch with select guests on both days is certainly enjoyable and a selling point for that tier. You get a small get-together with fellow Fraser’s Ridge ticket holders, and a chance to get to know the guests a little more.

You also get entries into the prize draw to be a co-handler for the autographs. This is a chance to get to know a specific guest a little more as the autograph line moves.

Want to get into the Chocolate Shop? I love this event. In fact, it was one of my personal favorites at Sasnak City 2019, and definitely worth the Lallybroch ticket. This is only available with for Lallybroch ticket holders, so if you want to get in, then you’ll need this tier.

The Blue Mountain event on Saturday night is available with the Lallybroch tier too. However, this is also available to purchase. So, if you don’t have the budget for the ticket but this is the one extra you want to get, then you can certainly buy a cheaper option and then get the Blue Mountain ticket on top.

For those not interested in the extra events and are there for the panels and some of the autographs or meet and greets, there are cheaper tickets. Craigh na Dun is an excellent option if you want to be closer to the stage, but Carolina Territory tickets are worth considering if you want to be part of Sasnak City 2020 and meet fellow Outlander fans.

In short:

• Want the lunches with the guests? Get a Fraser’s Ridge ticket
• Want the Chocolate Shop? Get the Lallybroch ticket
• Want Blue Mountain included in your ticket? Get Lallybroch
• Happy to pay extra for Blue Mountain? Get any of the other tickets
• Just want to experience the panels and have access to the meet and greets/autographs/etc.? Get any ticket
• On a tight budget? Get Carolina or Craigh na Dun or ask about a payment plan

What about seating?

The seating in the panel is going to be something many consider when buying tickets. Fraser’s Ridge ticket holders to get sit at the very front. Each ticket holder works their way back.

You’re guaranteed a seat in the hall. It doesn’t matter which tier you get, there will be a comfortable seat for you, and there isn’t a bad seat. I say that as someone who was at the very back last year, able to clearly hear and see everything going on.

So, if you’re concerned with grabbing a seat, don’t. If you’re concerned with getting a seat closer to the stage, that’s when you’re going to want to look at tiers.

There are only 15 Fraser’s Ridge tickets and 17 Lallybroch tickets. If you want either of them, you need to act fast when the tickets go on sale. You can see the seating plan on the official site to get an idea as to where would be good for you.

Want autographs or photo ops included in your package?

Some of the ticket tiers will include autographs and photo ops. You can purchase all of them anyway, but if you want autographs and photo ops included, you’ll want to start with the Craig na Dun tickets.

This is where the availability goes up depending on the tier.

• Craig na Dun: One autographs with guests and two solo photos (except Bonus/Surprise/Special Guests)
• Leoch: Two autographs with all guests and four solo photos (except Bonus/Surprise/Special Guests)
• Lallybroch: One personalized autograph with all guests, two regular autographs with all guests, one solo photo with all guests, (except Surprise/Special Guests) and one group photo with all guests (except Special Guests)
• Fraser’s Ridge: Two personalized autographs with all guests, two regular autographs with all guests, one solo photo with all guests, and one group photo with all guests (except Special Guests).

Lallybroch and Fraser’s Ridge ticket holders also get to line jump any non-tier photo ops and autograph sessions.

Remember that autographs and photo ops will also be on sale. You’ll get the chance to pick and choose, adding more to your package if you’d like. You’ll also get to buy Meet and Greets with any ticket tier that you get.

Which ticket for Sasnak City 2020?

In the end, it really is going to depend on what you want to attend Sasnak City 2020 for. If you’re there for the guests and the photo/autograph ops, then you may want to consider some of the higher ticket options to make sure all the costs are included. If you want the special events, then the higher ticket tiers are going to be for you.

Those who just want to see their fellow Sasnak City 2020 friends and those who love to just immerse themselves into anything Outlander, any of the ticket tiers will work.

If you’re not sure about the event and you just want to experience Sasnak City 2020 for the first time, I do recommend the Carolina Territory or Craigh na Dun tickets. There will be another year where you can jump up a tier if you want.
