Alicia Brown is one of the minor characters in The Fiery Cross getting her story told in Outlander Season 5. Here’s her story to see what to expect.
In November, fans learned that Anna Burnett would play Alicia Brown in Outlander Season 5. Now it’s time to look at the character in “The Fiery Cross” to see what to expect in the fifth season.
There are spoilers from “The Fiery Cross” in this post to look at what’s likely to be included in the fifth season. However, while Alicia is mentioned in later books, we won’t go into the details of her storyline in them. I know some of you prefer to remain as spoiler-free of future books as possible.
Alicia is the daughter of Lionel Brown and niece of Richard Brown. The two men are trying to kill Isaiah Morton when Roger and Fergus show up at the Browns’ home while building Jamie’s militia. It turns out Isaiah dishonored Alicia, although the two actually love each other.
When Claire and Jamie arrive from the Beardsleys, Alicia turns to Claire for some help. She wants to find out how to terminate a pregnancy. It turns out that she is pregnant with Isaiah’s baby, but she knows that it will cause trouble. Instead, Alicia keeps the child and runs away with Isaiah after the disbanding of the militia.
During the Battle of Alamance, the Browns shoot Isaiah in the back and run off. As Claire saves Isaiah’s life, Alicia shows up heavily pregnant. The two are able to head off together, but, of course, that isn’t going to be the end of the situation. The story mostly revolves around Isaiah and his wife (nope, not Alicia), but I’ll leave that open as it’s not clear just how much of the storyline will be included in Outlander.
What do you think of Alicia’s story that needs to be kept? What are you excited to see in Outlander Season 5? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
