Brianna and Roger get married in The Fiery Cross. That’s going to happen in Outlander Season 5. The question for many is how long it takes to get there!

We know Brianna and Roger’s wedding is happening in Outlander Season 5. It happens in “The Fiery Cross” and we got the confirmation in the sneak peek that Roger was preparing for his wedding to Brianna. An image from the premiere episode also tells us that this wedding will take place at the very beginning.

It does mean some events are being changed around. After all, it takes time for Brianna and Roger’s wedding to happen in “The Fiery Cross.” And it’s not an easy road, something I’ll look at tomorrow in MacBree-mas post tomorrow (spoilers!).

If you’re reading ahead to find out how they marry, you’ll want to know when the wedding actually takes place. There is a running joke of “the world’s longest day” in Outlander fan groups considering it does take a good 200+ pages (and about eight hours of listening time on Audible) to finally get to the wedding.

For those who want to skip ahead and get to the wedding (I don’t recommend it because there are some interesting moments throughout the eight hours of listening time), you’ll want to know when the wedding takes place in “The Fiery Cross.”

You’ll need to head to Chapter 14 for the start of the wedding. This is when they have to discuss how they’re going to marry since something happens to their priest. What was originally going to be a Roman Catholic wedding turns into a Presbetaryian one, and it will be interesting to see if the show continues this.

Follow on with a couple of chapters after. This is the wedding night, and important to get some sort of understanding of Brianna’s mental state when it comes to intimacy after everything Bonnet did.

The chapters leading up to the wedding are important, but not all about Brianna and Roger. I do recommend reading a few chapters before the wedding. There’s focus on the baptism, the reason for a change of minister to perform the wedding, and still a little tension between Roger and Jamie.
