Outlander marathon: Cast takes you through favorite episodes

We all have our favorite Outlander episodes. What about the show’s cast members? They’ll take us through their favorites in an upcoming Outlander marathon.

All Outlander fans have their favorite episodes. For many, “The Wedding” remains one of the favorites, but there are others throughout the seasons that stand out for one reason or another. But while we have our own, what about the cast members?

STARZ is hosting another Outlander marathon. This is a chance for fans to watch episodes back-to-back. However, it’s going to be a little different this time.

Usually, a marathon runs from the pilot episode and in order of the air dates. The idea is to watch from the beginning until the current end as we know it and wait for new episodes. That’s not the way STARZ is working this time.

To add a new flare to its marathon, STARZ is opting to turn to the cast. Each cast member will get the chance to pick their favorite episodes, and it all starts with Sam Heughan kicking it off with his favorite episode of the whole series. It all starts on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT.

You can only watch it on STARZ. If you don’t have the app or the channel right now, you can order it ready for Saturday.

While the network could have left it all a surprise, the schedule is already out for the weekend. Everything starts with “Sassenach,” the very first episode of the series. It’s not surprising that this is a favorite for so many people, especially the cast. This is the moment that the show started and straight after the episode aired, the series was picked up for a second season!

That’s followed by the Season 2 episode “Faith,” which is an outstanding episode. While emotionally raw and heartbreaking, we get a chance to see Caitriona Balfe’s acting skills.

The marathon will end on Saturday night with the Season 4 episode “Providence.” This is one of my all-time favorite episodes, and also my firm favorite of Season 4. It’s going to be heartbreaking to watch it again, but it will be worth it!

There should be introductions with the episodes, with the cast members sharing why these particular episodes are their favorites. While some may not be yours, the cast members will have various reasons behind the scenes that they loved shooting the episodes or the way they turned out.
