The Frasers go head-to-head in Saturn Awards fandom poll

It’s the battle of the Frasers on Outlander in the Saturn Awards fandom poll today. You’ve still got time to vote. Who will make it to the final round?

The Saturn Awards winners will be announced on Friday. Before that happens, the awards company has offered a series of fandom polls, a little like March Madness brackets. We’ve been voting for Outlander‘s Claire and Jamie throughout the brackets but now it’s time for them to go head-to-head.

This is going to be one of the hardest choices for many. After all, both are our lead characters and together they can make a formidable team. So, who will end up being the victor to move into the final round of the Saturn Awards fandom poll?

You’ve got time to vote. It closes around 3 p.m. ET. All you have to do is vote on the poll on Twitter (below) so you can send one of them through to the final.

At the time of writing this, the votes are mostly in favor of Jamie. That’s not all that surprising if I’m honest. As much as there was uproar about the STARZ COO’s comments about eye candy, a lot of women have admitted to watching for Sam Heughan’s looks as Jamie Fraser. Just look at the GIFs of Jamie in his kilt or even with no clothes at all when he’s getting into the water to fix the mill wheel.

There’s also the issue of Claire sometimes hogging the limelight in the TV show. In the novels, the two are much more evenly matched, but Claire does seem to take over now and then in the TV series. It’s her way or the highway much of the time, especially as she seems to believe that she’s right using her 20th-century views in the 18th-century without thinking about how it affects the people around her.

Then there’s also the fact that sometimes fans will focus on the actors instead of the characters. Sam Heughan tends to get less recognition by the awarding bodies for his role. Fans like to see him or his character stand out as much as possible.

Whatever the reason you choose, you need to vote now. Decide who wins between the Frasers.
