This is the last episode covering the 20-year separation. For Claire, we’re in 1968. She, Brianna, and Roger start their mission to find out where Jamie is after learning that he’s alive. As Claire gets an initial trace, she scours the records with her daughter and the nephew/adopted son of Reverend Wakefield. However, will she get all the answers she needs?

Meanwhile, Jamie starts his life at Helwater, after Lord John Grey managed to arrange for his prison sentence to be carried out there as an indentured servant. As the groomsman of the Dunsany family, he tries to keep his head down. However, a certain Geneva Dunsany is willing to resort to blackmail to get exactly what she wants.

We’re getting that one step closer to Jamie and Claire being reunited. However, for me, this is one of the strongest episodes of Outlander Season 3, especially when it comes to Sam Heughan’s acting abilities.
