Outlander Season 5: Anyone else missing the Heard on Set segments?

Throughout Outlander Season 4, Maril Davis shared Heard on Set segments. We’ve not had them in Season 5. Have you missed them as much as I have?

I’ll admit that one thing that I loved during Droughtlander between Outlander Seasons 3 and 4 was the Heard on Set segments from EP Maril Davis. They were a tease of things to come and a hint of where filming was. Davis hasn’t shared any this season and I miss them.

Now let me say that I don’t expect them! I never did. They were just something that I loved seeing throughout filming, a highlight of each day they were included.

The Heard on Set segments were just a tease of things to come. How many of us got into the speculation of where the cast and crew were with filming? Who else joined me in trying to figure out who was saying exact lines.

One of the standout Heard on Set segments was the “I’m a marrit man” line. It made it extremely clear that Jamie and Brianna would meet in Outlander Season 4 — and gave us that hint we needed that the meeting would be just like it is in “Drums of Autumn.” And I think I can say for most that the actual meeting on screen did not disappoint.

The cast and crew have been quiet on the filming process of Season 5 so far. We know that filming started mid-April. By June, the production was two-and-a-half episodes into the series. We’re now likely at the mid-way point and we know there have been plenty of night shoots, there’s the chance of a return to 1968, and Cesar Domboy and Kyle Rees are back with the show.

But there’s so much unknown. Just a Heard on Set segment every now and then to give us a tease of things to come would be awesome.
