If you’re in the UK, you’ll want to tune into More4 on Wednesday nights. Even if you’ve watched Outlander Season 3, you need to watch it again. Here’s why.

Outlander Season 3 finally has a premiere date on network TV in the UK. Many Sassenachs will have already watched the series through Amazon Prime, but it’s important to give More4 your support over the next 13 weeks.

Not sure if it’s really worth it? After all, the network is a season behind, right? Well, here’s why it’s a good thing to watch.

It keeps the show on network TV

More from Outlander Fandom

Not everyone can afford a Prime Video membership. And not everyone really wants to sign up to yet another subscription service. So, they tend to wait for either the DVDs or the network TV airings to catch the seasons. Make it clear that there’s a need for it to be on network TV.

Remember, More4 is part of the Freeview channels. All Sassenachs need is a TV license (which they’ll have to watch other live TV) and they can watch with their Freeview antenna. This is a great way for the show to continue to gain traction in the UK. You never know. More4 may realize it needs to catch up and find a way to do so!

It continues to support the series

International deals are excellent for the shows. STARZ doesn’t rely on advertisers and has more control over viewing just how many people are really watching its programs. It can see the number of subscribers, and More4 can offer feedback on the number of people tuning in across the UK.

When you support the show in all methods possible, you give it a better chance of a future life. You prove that there’s a need to make more of these episodes.

Even if STARZ cancels the program, there’s support internationally for the show to potentially be saved. Data from the networks around the world could help prove to streaming services or other networks to pick up the series if it is prematurely canceled.

Note: I’m not saying it will be prematurely canceled, but it’s a what it.

You’ll notice things you missed the first time

There’s no doubt that some elements of the show are often missed on first viewing. This is the case with any TV shows. When you first watched Outlander Season 3, you were likely watching it from the view of a book fan, waiting for your favorite moments to happen.

When watching it a second time, you know which moments will and won’t happen. You can sit back and see the smaller details. It’s a chance to really listen to the conversations and look at the foreshadowing woven in throughout the episodes.
