The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance gets SDCC 2019 panel
Netflix has an SDCC 2019 outing and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is one of those shows getting a panel. Here’s all we know so far.
While Outlander isn’t going to be at SDCC 2019, that doesn’t mean there isn’t something Sassenachs to look forward to. Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is on its way to SDCC, which is something for Caitriona Balfe fans to pay attention to.
Balfe isn’t one of the main voices, but she was one of the first cast members named for the prequel series. She voices Tarva, one of the Gelflings (the good guys), who is trying to survive in a dying planet. Three Gelflings head off on an adventure to find out why the planet is dying and attempt to fix things.

The Netflix panel at SDCC 2019 starts with The Witcher at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, July 19, according to CBR.com. It’s all in Hall H and The Dark Crystal will follow on from that. You’ll likely want to get in for The Witcher panel, even if you have no interest in the series. I expect there to be a large number of people going for that and possibly staying!
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’s panel will start at 3:30 p.m. local time and run until 5:15 p.m. Yes, it’s an extra-long panel and promises to have a sneak peek of the new series, set to premiere on Netflix on Aug. 30.
It’s not yet clear who will be attending the panels. Usually, the main cast members will appear along with some of the showrunners. Considering there’s no Outlander panel and she’s not a main cast member, I don’t think Caitriona Balfe will be there. She is currently filming Outlander Season 5 after all! However, never say never, right?
