Outlander Season 1, Episode 15 is one of the more traumatic episodes of the whole series. It’s hard to find “best” moments within these episodes. Really, it’s about the “top” moments. Those that stand out and show just how brilliant the actors really are.

“Wentworth” certainly held a lot of these top moments. We had some excellent moments from Caitriona Balfe in her efforts to save Jamie, but it’s mostly about Tobias Menzies and Sam Heughan — and that continues in the Outlander Season 1 finale. Here are the five moments that stand out the most for me.
5. Claire putting the fear of God into Black Jack Randall
One of my favorite moments in Outlander Season 1, Episode 15 is when Claire gives Black Jack Randall the day and hour of his death. You can see the look of fear, especially when she starts off with his date of birth — something that she shouldn’t really have known.
She uses her future knowledge as a way to scare the man. And there’s an air of confidence about her. It’s a shame she tends to think that Randall could die earlier, that she could change history. It kind of undermines this moment later on when she’s shocked to see Randall alive in France, but at the time, this moment is perfect.
