Outlander Season 2, Episode 7 is one of the most heartbreaking episodes of the series. Here are the top moments that stand out.

Saying “best” moments I guess isn’t really fair when it comes to Outlander Season 2, Episode 7. “Faith” is by far one of the most heartbreaking episodes of the whole series. In fact, I think it’s the most heartbreaking of all but it’s also one of the strongest.

Caitriona Balfe shines throughout this episode. It’s a moment to show an outstanding performance and should have netted her the Emmy win of the year. Alas it didn’t, but that doesn’t stop this episode from being truly remarkable. And with that in mind, I’m sharing my top five moments.

5. The way the filming was done

I’ll admit that the overall filming was important for Outlander Season 2, Episode 7. One of the reasons I love this episode so much is not seeing it all in chronological order. We don’t get the whole hospital scene in one go. We get the initial part and then the second part if Claire telling Jamie the story.

There’s a chance to see Jamie learn about Faith and a chance for Claire and Jamie to figure out a way back to each other — and that means getting away from France and everything that has happened. We also get the moment at the end for Claire and Jamie to say goodbye to their stillborn daughter.

A lot of this episode gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Metin Hüseyin was the perfect director for this one particular episode.
