The day is almost here. You’ll be able to binge watch all of Outlander Seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix in the United States tomorrow.

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for. At midnight tonight, Outlander Seasons 1 and 2 will be on Netflix U.S.

I know a lot of fans are from outside of the U.S. You’ll be saying “but we already have three seasons on Netflix/all four seasons on Netflix” but in the United States, this hasn’t been the case. If I’m honest, I never thought I’d see the day that the show would make it to this streaming platform. After all, it’s a STARZ Original.

Now fans in the U.S. will get to watch with their Netflix membership. While it may only be the first two seasons, there is scope to add more in the future. I think adding the first two seasons is strategic to get more people subscribing to STARZ to watch the next two seasons. I also wonder if the third season will be released just ahead of Outlander Season 5 premiering sometime next year (Spring 2020 is the current projected timeframe).

The first two seasons give us foreshadowing of things still to come in the novels, with the ninth to be released later this year. We get the initial tale of the love story between Claire and Jamie, before they’re ripped apart through time thanks to the Jacobite rising in 1745-46. History just can’t be changed.

Whether you’ve watched it once, a million times, or only just started to hear about it, you’ll want to tune into Netflix at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET to stream the first two seasons in full.
