Balfe is joining the likes of Taron Egerton, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Anya Taylor-Joy in the Netflix series. While the name of her character isn’t given, Balfe is voicing one of the Gelfling. Have no idea what that is? Don’t worry, they’re the good guys in the series.
Egerton, Emmanuel, and Taylor-Joy will voice the three main Gelfling, who realize that the power of the Skeksis has a horrific truth. They start a rebellion, starting an epic battle for the planet in an attempt to bring goodness and balance while on an adventure for the ages.
There are many other familiar names attached to the series, including Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer, Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs, and Divergent’s Theo James. This is not going to be a series that you’ll want to miss.
There are 10 one-hour long episodes to the first season and it’s set many years before the 1982 The Dark Crystal movie.
