Will Graham McTavish be in Lucifer Season 5?
Lucifer Season 4 is now on Netflix and Graham McTavish guest stars as Father McKinley. Will he be in Lucifer Season 5?
Hearing of Outlander stars in other shows is always fun. Graham McTavish took on the role of Father Kinley in Lucifer Season 4, and what a role it was! Now there are questions of whether he’ll be in the fifth season.
Caution: There are spoilers for Lucifer Season 4 in this post if you haven’t watched it to the end.

We were quickly introduced to McTavish’s character (and I loved the two “Outlandish” mentions). Father Kinley appeared at the end of the premiere, and it was clear that Lauren German’s Chloe Decker had already met him. He wanted to send Lucifer back to Hell. That’s not surprising since he is a priest and Lucifer is the Devil.
However, the goal eventually changed and it may not be possible to bring McTavish’s character back for the fifth season. Father Kinley was killed off with a demon possessing him instead. However, that demon was eventually sent back to Hell.
So, that should mean there’s no room for McTavish to return, right? Well, that’s where you’d be wrong.
This show is a supernatural-style one. Anything can happen and the dead don’t always stay dead. Plus, we ended with Lucifer back on the throne of Hell, opening up the chance to see characters who had been killed off.

We know that Father Kinley is in Hell. Despite thinking he was doing God’s work, he did bad things and felt guilty for some of those bad things. That sent him to Hell, where he could pass on the message to a demon to possess his body and get the Devil back to Hell.
Tom Ellis’ character never wanted to go back to rule over Hell, so being there won’t make him happy. He’ll likely want to seek out revenge, and what’s stopping him from heading to wherever Father Kinley is being kept? What if he wants to carry out the torture himself?
This would be the only way I could see Graham McTavish being in Lucifer Season 5. That is if the show is even renewed. Netflix is still to decide on the fate at the time of writing this.
