Black Jack Randall returned in Outlander Season 2, Episode 5. Here are my five favorite moments from the episode.

Claire and Jamie came face-to-face with Black Jack Randal in Outlander Season 2, Episode 5. Meanwhile, Claire broke hearts for the sake of the future. It’s time to delve into the best moments from the episode.

More from Top Moments

This was an episode that certainly divides fans. It’s the one where Claire asks Jamie for one year. Literally, just a year and then he can get all the revenge he wants — she’ll even help him. And it’s not surprising that this moment makes my list, so I’ll jump straight to that one.

5. Thinking about Frank

In everything that’s happened, it would be easy to forget about someone in the future. While Claire may have chosen Jamie, that doesn’t mean she’s forgotten about her first husband. Nor does it mean that she doesn’t still feel something for Frank.

He’s an innocent in all this. Up to this point, we don’t know much about him or what he’ll do when Claire returns to the future. However, I had one question throughout — what if Frank wasn’t born? We think at this point that Black Jack Randall is necessary for this and I’m glad that Claire doesn’t forget about him.

Plus, I don’t agree with a wrong thing done for the right reasons. It’s still the wrong thing. While Black Jack Randall is awful, Jamie is a better man than he appears to be in this moment. Well, he should be and that moves me onto my next favorite moment.
