4. You had to know Horricks would turn back up again

Did I really think Horricks’ storyline was done after his first appearance? Considering there was a huge deal made about him being a deserter, it was clear that he would have to come up again. Of course, he had to be working for The Watch.

Oh, and did I want every last one of them to go away — or for Jamie to just kill them all. In a way, I would have liked to see more of The Watch play out though. There would have been plenty of potential but not enough time in the TV series.

3. Ian Murray shows his kindheartedness

Throughout the episode, Ian remained calm. Jenny was getting angrier by the moment underneath her facade but Ian managed to show just how kind his heart is. We got that yin and yang between them, in a way that Claire and Jamie balance each other out. I love that we got to see that from another couple.

We also got a chance to learn more about Ian in this episode. His backstory in France — other than losing his leg — and the way he was like a brother to Jamie were beautiful elements to the story. It was this backstory that made me need to see Ian more on the screen. I still want to see him more.
