Outlander Season 5 tease: Don’t expect a rough release date

The Outlander Season 5 tease is coming this weekend. Don’t expect it to give us an insight into a release date, even a rough one. Here’s why.

If you weren’t planning on watching The Spanish Princess, you may change your mind when you hear that there’s an Outlander Season 5 production tease coming. It’s not clear what this tease will show, but there’s one thing we can say it probably won’t include: a date for the fifth season to premiere.

As much as I’d love for the production to even give us a rough date, there’s too much unknown right now. Filming has only just started — and there’s been a delay based on the cast saying they had seven months of that turned into nine months. STARZ has had a big change behind the scenes and there are more shows coming.

It wouldn’t be easy for anyone to work out when the show could premiere right now. My guess is sometime in the spring of 2020 based on when the show started filming, but last year, I thought January 2020 was a possibility.

One thing that I think is possible is that we’ll get a release year. As in, they could let us know that the show certainly won’t come back later this year as we’d all hoped it would. We’ll have to wait until the new year — and that is something the production could tell us.
