Fan-favorite Outlander writer moving onto new STARZ project
Fan-favorite Outlander writer, Anne Kenney, is moving onto a new STARZ project. Which show can you look out for her writing in?
Outlander writers have changed over the years. There’s on in particular that we miss the most, Anne Kenney. While she won’t be coming back to the series, she is joining a new STARZ project.
For those who don’t recognize the name (because you may not always look at who was the head writer on various scripts), Kenney wrote the beautiful episode “The Wedding” in Season 1. She hasn’t been part of the series since the third season and we all certainly miss her, but that doesn’t stop us being happy for her when she shares her new projects.

Kenney tweeted that she would be moving back into the STARZ family of projects. She’s working on American Gods, which was renewed for a third season last month, shortly after premiering the second season. While the live ratings haven’t been strong, we have no idea how well the show is performing directly through the STAR app. Nor do we know how it is performing through Amazon Prime, where it’s classed as an Original internationally.
It’s an exciting project to work on. American Gods is one of the craziest shows going, filled with mythology and passion. It’s also a book adaptation, and Kenney will be working with author Neil Gaiman on the project, as he is one of the executive producers.

We don’t know when American Gods Season 3 will premiere on STARZ. It will be at least next year and likely after Outlander Season 5.
