We got the moment we’d waited seven episodes for. Outlander Season 1, Episode 7 delivered Claire and Jamie’s wedding, and it did it in style. It’s time to take a look at the best moments from the episode.

While I always say that it didn’t get everything “perfect” for me, it is still one of the strongest episodes throughout the entire series. I loved the buildup to this point and then the way we got to see flashbacks sprinkled throughout.

5. Frank and Claire’s “wedding”

One thing I adored was the chance to see Claire and Frank’s “wedding.” It wasn’t really a wedding as such, as the two decided, on the spur of the moment, to marry at the courthouse.

This wasn’t something included in the novel and it was a change that I fully enjoyed. We had this chance to see how different Claire’s two marriages were. This was a chance to see how different the two men in her life were.

Jamie was a man out of his time, while Frank was a man perfect for him. Frank cared about what he wanted and didn’t stop to think about what Claire might want. Meanwhile, Jamie made sure the day was perfect for his bride.
