Outlander Untold: What are the four bonus features?

The Outlander Season 4 DVD and Blu-ray release will have four bonus features. What exactly will Outlander Untold comprise of?

With the announcement of the Outlander Season 4 DVD and Blu-ray release date, EPs Maril Davis and Toni Graphia announced the bonus features called Outlander Untold. These four features will be scenes that were made without the intention of airing during the episodes, offering something special for the DVD and Blu-ray purchasers. Just what will the four scenes be?

We already know who each of the four seasons involved. Nothing But Geek shares that they will involve Lord John Grey and Willie, Marsali and Murtagh, Young Ian and Rollo, and Phaedre and Lizzie with Jocasta. As promised, none of them involve the core characters.

This bonus feature will be all about Lord John Grey navigating the world as a single father. It’s not clear if it’s going to be before or after the visit to Fraser’s Ridge. It’s possible that it’s just before, giving Grey the reason to head through Jamie’s land.

It’s a chance to see Lord John Grey in another light. We’ve seen him as the smitten-for-Jamie man, the tension between him and Claire, and as a man who understands Brianna’s plight. This will be a chance to see him as a father, as he also mourns the loss of his own wife.

Marsali and Murtagh

Many may have loved to see Marsali and Fergus together, but there was an interesting relationship building between Marsali and Murtagh. She managed to turn to him and ask him for help to get her husband back. The Outlander Untold scene here has some great potential.

We’ll get to see the two navigate the world with an unscrupulous landlord. Could this be something that helped Marsali see Murtagh in a different light? Would it be the reason she’d work with Fergus to get Murtagh out of jail?

Young Ian and Rollo

This is one of the scenes I’m most looking forward to. We’ve seen the bond between Rollo and Young Ian develop this season. He was immediately a loyal pup and it’s clear that it all started when Young Ian won him during a game of dice.

The Outlander Untold scene will be one between the two when Young Ian first meets him. We know how much Young Ian immediately loved Rollo and this is a chance for this bond to start.

Jocasta with Phaedre and Lizzie

Finally, it’s time for a scene at River Run. The fourth feature will be between Jocasta, Phaedre, and Lizzie. During Outlander Season 4, we didn’t get to see too much of Phaedre and Lizzie together, but both had an important role in Brianna’s time at River Run. How did the two get along?

This is a chance to see that. We’ll get a chance to see how the two interacted and Jocasta’s words about working together as a team.
