Outlander Season 5 will see Claire and Jamie’s marriage deepen?
During one of the TCA panels on Feb. 12, Caitriona Balfe spoke about Outlander Season 5. While sharing filming starts soon, she also hinted at what’s to come for Jamie and Claire’s marriage.
Outlander Season 5 starts filming next week and the actors will already have the scripts for the first episode. It’s time to get into some of the teases for the things in store for the characters, especially for Claire and Jamie.
Now that everyone is at Fraser’s Ridge, there is a chance for family and relationships to develop. Maril Davis has already shared that there will be some focus on Brianna and Roger, but it’s not all about them. Caitriona Balfe shared during the TCAs that Claire and Jamie’s marriage will also deepen.

This is something many fans wanted to see in the fourth season. And some may be happy to hear that Balfe says sex is important to this couple. Does this mean there will be more of the steamy sex scenes in the episodes? The scenes have certainly changed as the characters have grown older — and possibly as contracts changed for the actors when it comes to nudity and the sex scenes, who knows?
Balfe also shared that Claire will become more professional. As life at Fraser’s Ridge grows, which it will do during Outlander Season 5, more people will need medical help. That means Claire gets her surgery and will need to start treating people, possibly in ways she did in the first season. There’s also a chance for her to attempt to create things like penicillin, as her stash will be running out!

Writing will still be ongoing for the fifth season. Filming starts next week and could last for nine months or so. It will be a while before we see Season 5 on our screens but little tidbits like this will be enough to tide some of us over.
