5 best moments from Outlander Season 4, Episode 12
4. Brianna making it clear Bonnet will be forgotten
One thing that Stephen Bonnet wants to know is that someone will remember him. As Brianna delivers the news of a child, Bonnet taunts her that he’ll be remembered. There is no way that Brianna will ever be able to forget.
What he doesn’t count on is Brianna throwing some home truths his way. Sure, she may remember him but that doesn’t mean anyone else will. Her child will never know who he is.
It’s clear that whether Roger wants to raise the child or not, Brianna is going to make sure this child is good and nothing like his potential pirate father. She gains strength in this season, standing out as a woman to look out for.
3. Brianna and Lord John Grey bonding
While I adored the letter from Jamie, there was the moment just off the carriage that I enjoyed more. Brianna and Lord John Grey had a chance to bond further, with John even admitting that there are times he would like Claire around. Despite everything, it’s clear that the talk they had when John was suffering from the measles meant the world to him.
Brianna and John have the chance to deepen this bond between them. It’s a different bond to the one between John and Jamie, unique in the sense that this is a young woman who wants to be independent but has been thrust in a difficult and dangerous situation.
“You’re impossible not to like” is one of my favorite lines from Outlander Season 4, Episode 12 for sure.
