Apart from the end, Outlander Season 4, Episode 9 was an outstanding and happy episode. Full of reunions and meetings, here are the best moments from the night.
“The Birds and the Bees” is one of those episodes that will become the best of 2019 already. Outlander Season 4 nailed it with reunions and meetings, creating a slow burn to that ending full of heartbreak and horror. There were some excellent moments throughout, but what make the top five?

Like in previous weeks, I’ve worked with TV Time to come up with the top five moments. This is from a mixture of my own personal favorites and the top moments from the app users.
I’m sure you can guess some of these top moments. In fact, I’m sure you can guess the top moment (and this is in a ranking order unlike my character best moments). What I will say is that I’ve combined two moments in one to offer a good selection of the events that happened.

5. Murtagh learning “Bree” is Brianna’s nickname
I didn’t quite get why Jamie wouldn’t tell Brianna what “Bree” meant. Claire makes it clear that Jamie was trying to move around her and avoid creating a scene, but this moment was a little mean. However, Murtagh’s reaction throughout it is what makes it stand out (and I adore that he’s the one that tells her the truth).
Brianna wants to learn more about her family, especially Ian. Then she has the chance to share her own nickname, which leads to some giggling. You just know that the meaning of “Bree” is something apt for the current situation, and it certainly is.
It’s the twinkle in Murtagh’s eye, though. You can tell that he’s just as protective and connected to Brianna as Jamie is, making him more like a proud grandfather than great-godfather.
