The episode certainly ended on one of the most traumatic notes of the season. However, that doesn’t take away from the beautiful moments that happen throughout. It’s time to look at the good that did happen.
As usual, this is with the help of TV Time, where fans shared their favorite moments of the episode. Some of them I agree with and some I don’t, so this list is put together as a mixture of moments. Here are the five best moments from “Wilmington.”
5. Fergus and Murtagh’s reunion
One of my favorite moments from the whole episode had to be Fergus and Murtagh reuniting. This was the reunion we didn’t realize we needed. I just loved the fact that Murtagh immediately recognized Fergus, now all grown up. It showed the bond the two shared 20 years earlier.
Something else I loved was that Jamie had thought ahead. He knew he couldn’t warn Murtagh and get back to the theater in time. So, he trusted everything to Fergus. We’ve seen Jamie do this before with the deed to Lallybroch. As Murtagh said, if he couldn’t have Jamie warn him, he wanted it to be Fergus.
There’s so much more to come for Fergus and I hope we get to see more moments between the two characters. For now, the reunion will do.
