3 best Jamie moments in Outlander Season 4, Episode 8

1. Choosing to send Fergus

When Jamie knew that he wouldn’t be able to get to Murtagh in time and then get back to the theater, Jamie made one of the smartest decisions he’s made in a long time. He sent Fergus out to warn Murtagh.

It was perfect. We got to see a reunion between Murtagh and Fergus (the fact that Murtagh recognized Fergus right away was beautiful, sweet, and shows that bond they formed) and we got to see Jamie use his brain for once — something that didn’t always happen in the third season. We’ve always known Jamie could think on the spot and this proved it once more.

While this wasn’t a moment on the screen, it was the events that showed us it happened. He clearly got to Wilmington and then had to think on the spot. We saw that flash of panic but the wheels turning in his head as he figured out what to do next.

Plus, he managed to get back to the theater in time. Absolutely nobody realized that he had left along with Washington. Although, now it will be interesting to see how the storyline for Washington is going to go considering the role we know he needs to play in America’s history.
