Lord John’s return brought emotional confessions, beautiful bonding moments, and much more. Here are the best lines from Outlander Season 4, Episode 6.

Outlander Season 4, Episode 6 was a powerful, emotional, and beautiful episode. Between confessions and bonding, we had an episode that has been needed for a long time. Of course, that means a lot of excellent lines.

As usual, I’m cutting all the great lines to just the five best. It’s certainly not easy with an episode like “Blood of My Blood” and I’m sure there are people who won’t agree with my picks. But these lines all have important elements as well as being standout ones. Here are my top five lines from the episode.

Having you here has really made Fraser’s Ridge feel like home.

Claire has some of the best lines in this episode and the first is to Murtagh. As the two walk back, Claire makes it clear that she’d like Murtagh to stay. This was promised to be a season about home and family and this line reminds you of that. She wants Fraser’s Ridge to feel like home, as well as being a home.

I love that Murtagh is someone Claire and Jamie would like to remain. They want to see him regularly and want him to remain as part of their lives. He’s family and that’s clear in this moment.

Mac? Is your name not MacKenzie?

Willie slowly remembers who Jamie is and what he meant to him. There’s a moment of anger, as Willie realizes that Jamie knew who Willie was and didn’t say anything. But I love this moment and this line.

As Willie looks at the horses, everything falls into place. He remembers the name “Mac” and we get this blast from the past. The ghost of who Jamie was way back then.

But as soon as our guests leave, I’ll be expecting your full attention.

As John and Willie take the cabin, Claire and Jamie sleep outside. They share a beautiful moment but not one that can be as romantic and sexy as they’d like. However, Claire makes her feelings for Jamie extremely clear.

She wants his full attention. In every single way. The way Caitriona Balfe says this line is also perfect.

Do you know what it’s like to love someone and never be able to give them happiness? Not through any fault of yours or theirs, but simply because you were not born the right person for them?

There are a lot of moments during Lord John’s and Claire’s confessions to each other that I love. This is the one line that stands out the most. Claire had already mentioned about being born a certain way and now we get this line from John. His feelings aren’t a choice but a part of who he is.

Claire gets it more than John would know and explains as such. It’s a moment of understanding between the two that is essential for this storyline to adapt and grow.

I don’t need a ring to know how much you love me.

Finally, we get the “full attention” moment that Claire requested. While in the bath, Jamie has the chance to give Claire the ring he’s had made from the silver candlestick. It’s a moment book fans needed seasons earlier.

But it’s Claire that wins it with the line. She doesn’t need a ring from him. She doesn’t need anything from him to show that he loves her because she knows how much Jamie loves her every single day. Of course, the ring helps to have that physical memory, but she doesn’t want anything but Jamie.
