Outlander Season 4, Episode 5 gave us a surprise reunion, plenty of tension, and heartbreaking moments. Here are the top five moments from Savages.

Who is the real savage? That’s something we had to answer in Outlander Season 4, Episode 5. As Jamie went off to Wilmington to find settlers, Claire remained to deliver a baby. There were surprise reunions, heartbreaking moments, and intense stand offs.

With the help of TV Time, I’ve put together a top five list of the moments throughout “Savages.” This takes into account my personal favorite moments and the moments the fans loved through the TV Time app (I highly recommend this, by the way).

Just a word of warning: there are spoilers in this post from the episode. You can catch the recap here if you want a refresher of what happened.

5. The two reunions

More from Top Moments

Okay, I’m cheating by putting two in one, but they both involve the same character. I’d included the reunions between Murtagh and Jamie and then Murtagh and Claire in my top Jamie and Claire moments earlier this week, but the reunions deserve their own mention.

Both were beautifully handled for the specific people. Murtagh and Jamie had the initial reunion that saw plenty of emotion and storytelling. We got that moment in the bar, as Jamie caught Murtagh up to speed with everything that had happened and Murtagh told his sad tale as an indentured servant.

Then we got the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” delivering the memory of “The Search.” Love or hate that episode, we were reminded of the time Claire and Murtagh bonded in their search for Murtagh and it was perfect.
