5 best Claire moments in Outlander Season 4, Episode 5
There were certainly some heartbreaking and troubling moments for Claire in Outlander Season 4, Episode 5. At the same time, there were some strong and beautiful moments. Here are my five favorites.
Claire Fraser is a survivalist. When she needs to, she can certainly live alone and protect herself. Outlander Season 4, Episode 5 showed what she was willing to protect her home. At the same time, we got some beautifully heartbreaking acting from Caitriona Balfe.
Not all the moments for Claire were positive. However, she had some excellent, standout moments. Here are my five favorites from the episode.
5. Seeing Murtagh again

I’ll get one of the more obvious moments out of the way first. While Murtagh and Jamie’s reunion was my top moment for Jamie, when it comes to Claire it fits in at #5. We knew that it had to happen and there wasn’t as much emotion as with Jamie’s reunion. It was clear that Jamie had already told Claire who he’d seen.
The way the moment played out was just perfect though. Connecting to Outlander Season 1’s “The Search,” Murtagh came up whistling the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” She didn’t need to turn around to know who it was, knowing there was only one person in this time period that knew the song.
Then there was the happiness on her face as she greeted Murtagh. It was a warm hug, showing that the two were definitely fond of each other.
