Outlander Season 4, Episode 5 ratings see another uptick in demo
There’s more good news for the Outlander ratings. The key demo saw another uptick.
Outlander Season 4, Episode 5 ratings are in. There’s an uptick in the key demo with just a small drop in total audience figures. What does it mean for the future of the series.
Let me start by saying that the Live + Same Day ratings don’t mean too much when it comes to STARZ. The figures are just a good boost for the show’s egos to know that people are tuning into the episodes live. However, I do think that a lot more people are tuning in through the STARZ app or other on-demand methods.
However, the ratings are good again. The key demo is up by 13.33% to 0.17, according to TV Series Finale. The total audience figures are down a little but nothing to worry about. They saw a 0.21% drop to 0.958 million people.

While the figures aren’t as good as the third season saw, there are other methods of watching the series. STARZ has its own app, which is where the viewings will always count the most. If the network can make money directly, it’s always going to prefer it.
However, you can also sign up for the STARZ app through Amazon Channels and Hulu. It wouldn’t be surprising if people were signing up through these methods, especially Hulu. Because episodes drop at midnight EST, people on Central, Mountain, and Pacific times are able to get the episodes a few hours the day before.
Seasons 5 and 6 have also been confirmed, which make the Live + Same Day ratings mean less. It will be interesting to see what the ratings do this week now that we know Murtagh is back and Lord John Grey will return this Sunday.
