2. Fighting the “bear”

It may not have been a real bear, but the symbolism was there. It still acted as this bridge between two people. Jamie gained respect from the Cherokee people because of his actions and gained the name “Bear Killer.”

This is also an important moment for Jamie and his character. We get to see him as this protector of his family, which he routinely shows himself to be. Sometimes he’ll protect through working hard and other times he protects physically.

Jamie believed he was going out to face a bear. He knew it was dangerous and still went out to protect his family in the dark.

1. Adawehi sharing the dream and vision

So, there is a soft spot for the outstanding Tantoo Cardinal and this moment was always going to be meaningful, but it’s more than just the actress. Outlander Season 4, Episode 4 delivers us a moment of two people coming together. Adawehi shows her trust in Claire, sharing both the prophecy and the dream.

We may not know what they both mean just yet, but it won’t be too long until they’re explained. Besides, it’s not the meaning that makes this special. Claire is respectful of this Adawehi and her words. She has no idea what they mean, but she’s respectful and king. It’s clear this could be a good friendship.
